On Wednesday, February 10, 2016 Geospatial Niagara had the opportunity to participate in the Brock University Faculty of Education – ihub Career Information and Tech Showcase at the Hamilton Campus location. Hundreds of future teachers visited a number of booths relating to future employment opportunities as well as what is new in Education Technology.
Geospatial Niagara was showcasing the Niagara Minecraft Project as well as other projects such as treeOcode Niagara as a means of engaging teachers and students in geographic education.
One thing is for certain, the interest in Minecraft as an educational tool is on the rise as teachers, not only in geography, but science, math and history, look for ways to actively engage their students.
It was a tremendous pleasure to see the faces of a new generation of educators.
